The mission of the Student Greenhouse Project consists of four closely interrelated objectives:
1. Reintroduce people to spending time in an environment rich in life, filled with plants and animals, where visitors become conscious of the significance and real impact that our living environment has on our own physical and mental health, mood and lives.
2. Integrate the direct experience of live nature into relaxing restorative activities, social functions and educational endeavors to create a caring informed community for environmental advocacy.
3. Create a community networking center with multiple opportunities to utilize the advantages of the unique theater of a living natural environment to enhance the presentation, delivery and impact of a healthy, nature-oriented educational message.
4. Emphasize to visitors the importance of interacting with nature and develop an environmental research program to investigate and document the importance of these interactions.
